Final Debate Present: Sonic.exe Character Analysis Blog (Original Canon)

“After decades of debate, who would have known that the answer to the fermi paradox was evil Sonic.”

If I came to you and asked you “what is Sonic.exe?”. A creepypasta character? Yeah sure, but what is he as a character? What is his deal? What is his story? You probably remember him as this haunted disk, disguised as a classic Sonic video game, and anyone who dares to play it will be dragged into the darkest pit of his world. But is that true? Is that who he is? Because there is another story where he isn’t a video game character, and instead he’s a demon who possessed the body of our beloved blue blur. But there exists another story where it claims him to be a spirit or the devil. But yet again there exist other stories where he isn’t possess him but he’s actually Sonic himself. But there are others where Sonic isn’t even involved at all, and it's just an alien or Metal Sonic disguise as him. But then we come back full circle where there are stories that he is indeed a video game disc. Either haunted by a vengeful human spirit or hijacked by malicious malware… or just both.

If you can’t tell by now, the definition of what most considered to be an “exe” is too abstract to be a legitimate entity. It's not an exe file, because it exists in the real world. It’s not a demon, because it can be the devil itself. It’s not its own separate entity, because it's Sonic himself. HECK! It’s not even Sonic the hedgehog, it can be another character entirely. It contradicts itself many, many times, over and over and over again. It might as well all be Sonicpasta. So what the hell is Sonic.exe exactly then? How do we gauge accuracy for a fanmade character then?

Well, there is a way. There is a proper way to solve and answer this question. We must go back to the past, a fainted memory, a long gone era when horror was thriving. A time when we were only afraid of the dark, the time that texts of pixels were given life by our blissful minds. These stories terrified us, they haunted us, and yet we didn’t run away, not far away at least. As we always came back for more, regardless of what forms they took. Monsters, phantoms, aliens, demons, eldritch deities, gods, and even a small blue hedgehog with black sclera, red pupil, and blood all over his cheeks. We’re going back to the very beginning, the inception of Sonic.exe.

Before we begin…

WARNING

NSFW; Couple of fetish furry arts and mention of rape

As you probably guess, this blog will exclusively be focused on the first incarnation of the entity known as Sonic.exe (No Lord X, no EXE, no Xenophanes, no 2017 X, no et cetera). Now on the surface this seems fairly easy to research, as there are only 3 official stories ever made for the creepypasta. However, I made this blog with the intention to research everything. Everything that is related, everything that was made, everything that is connected, everything that ever existed within the realm of the original mythos. A task that I could have never imagined the scope of. Basically researching every god of words I could possibly find on the internet (Social Medias, WayBack Machine, every groups that they were apart of). God of words is something I normally disregard, but in this case I made it an exception. As a word made by few people who contributed to the original creepypasta, is not the same as a word from a random writer that was paid to write a couple issues for an almost century old franchise.

Admittedly this is an overly gross simplification of everything. Not every ex-friends of the author’s words will be automatically taken at face value, despite their status, nor the creator themselves words are absolute. I will go in more in depth on explaining the validity of everything in the Q&A section. Also, it is worth mentioning that I am factoring the remake continuity into this blog as supporting material (Don’t worry, it doesn’t change anything drastically).

The Sonic.exe Murders

Approved for Release: 09/14/2012

Summary

Victims are found dead inside of their room, with their computer vandalized usually beyond repair. So far the only data that the digital forensic investigators could recover is a file called “Sonic.exe”. Detectives believe that the file is a malware that tracks down the victim’s IP address. Allowing the perpetrator(s) to know their locations and identity. No evidence of forced entry into the victim's homes has been found yet.

Upon autopsies of the first few subjects, reveal that their esophagus had ruptured, alongside their jaws. Indicate that the subjects were tormented by the perpetrator(s) before “murdering” them. All 31 victims were not found deceased. Upon further inspection, the objects are in a persistent vegetative state. A chronic disorder in which an individual with severe brain damage appears to be conscious but shows no sign of awareness of their surroundings.

A few investigators suspect a particular cult is responsible for these casualties. The “Cult of X”, founded in fall last year. Surrounding around worshiping an individual that called themselves “X”. It has been observed that members engage with the deceased's family, either during or after a set subject’s funeral. Records documented that 33 percent of their members are relative to some victims. In spite of this, the chief denies the theory and believes it is not sufficient for a warrant to be issued. Authorized undercover agents have been dispatched to infiltrate the cult.

One of our private investigators, Derek Green was last seen on the 25th of August. 7 months prior, he was withdrawn from the case due to the death of his sister. Who is a part of the many casualties of the murders. The chief of police suggested that Derek went out to commit suicide. The investigation is still ongoing and has not been concluded.

Skill & Experience

Despite literally being younger than most infants, X is very clever. Within an unknown but extremely short timeframe, not only was he able to learn languages like English, learn human cultures like Japan, and learn franchises like Sonic. But was able to completely understand how to use his powers. From manipulating reality to create his own world, to more abstract things like messing around with the human psyche. And his most impressive feat of intelligence is him creating his own cult and murdering 32 people in less than a year. Mind you, he accomplished this with only a very limited access to his powers the entire time. X is also a talented artist, a fighter, and a skilled programmer. Needless to say, Sonic.exe is anything but dumb.

Equipment/Arsenal

Anti-Gravity Boots

I've been lied to my whole life.

Mirror

Me when I realized it’s 5:00 PM on a Sunday.

Knife

It makes sense that he has a knife. Considering he’s canonical a yandere.

Drill

Used it to give Crystal a lobotomy in Sonic.exe 2. I mean, he’s a surgeon after all.

Green Ring

“A game can only last…”

“If both sides are still standing”

“Lend a ring”

3 Corrupted Rings

These rings erase the normal ones you currently have, lowering your defensiveness. Even if you don’t have any, they'll erase any ring you collect in the future. You could argue that it can debuff any defensive equipment/armour/weapon. But as far as we know it seems to specifically work on the rings.

Dimensional Window

This “window” is what lets him learn the existence of our planet and us. It could be the reason why Sonic.exe knows every time when someone plays his game. Beyond that we don’t know how exactly it operates. Especially when remembering that X uses his plushie to specifically spy on people. Granted, it could maybe allow us to show more than just our planet, but we’re just not sure.

The Game Disc(s)

Created with the help of a very skilled programmer, this is Exe magnum opus. Containing a piece of X’s own dark matter. This CD-R Disc acts as a temporary bridge between 2 worlds, allowing him to enter our world for only a few minutes. In matter of fact, what we see in the ”game” is actually the home dimension of X. Quite literally live streaming his murder spree. Every time someone downloaded the "game” into their computer, it allowed him to take full control of the hard-drive and everything in it. It is also pretty damn durable, it survived being hit multiple times by a hammer, and even survived an explosion that created a huge crater.

The Internet

So in the lost original sequel of the creepypasta, Sally.EXE makes a deal with our protagonist, Crystal. Sparing her life in exchange of getting Sonic.exe “out of the game”. With the vague instruction and the tools of her father's friend, Crystal managed to hack the game data into the net, which naturally includes Exe too. This resulted in Exe not only having full control on the biggest computer network in the world, but also having access to any devices that are connected to it. This essentially means that he can enter anywhere in the world to kidnap anyone into his dimension, without downloading his game into one device. This causes the protagonist to have a full mental breakdown and tell anyone who reads this to run away. Ending the story with Exe hijacking the story and telling the reader that he wants to play with them.

Abilities

Dark Matter Physiology

Ever wonder what exactly is Sonic.exe? Is he a demon who possesses Sonic body? A twisted spirit who resides on a game disc? A failed experiment made by Doctor Ivo Robotnik? Or is he the one who waits behind the wall? Well, none of those. Because X is a giant, shapeless mass of nothing but dark matter. Because he’s literally a sentient matter, he can float around endlessly and phase through basically much everything. However, despite supposedly being made of dark matter. It's more akin to gamma radiation in the Marvel universe. Because it’s unironically been described as “evil energy” in the past. Set energy who can severely damage anyone upon contact. This is only scratching the surface of what it can do, because it is pretty much black magic.

Chains Creation

That's simple.

Cookies Manipulation

Summon a tidal wave entirely made of cookies

Death Manipulation

What if you wanted to become a Yoshi, but god said you have to die for it?

Telepathy

Even without a mouth he won’t shut up, not even when he lives in a separate reality from you.

Weather Manipulation

Can move shits with his mind. He’ll use this to trap you by slamming and locking doors, stab you with shards of broken glass, and deliver his very essence to Earth since 2011.

Possession

Occasionally, X will possesses the corpse of his victim to make it look like suicide. In matter of fact, he’s technically possessing his own body, as it has imploded itself inside the Void.

Portal Creation

Can create a wormhole to shove your soul down an interdimensional staircase. Even though he doesn’t need it, as he can always just teleport you to wherever and whenever he wants.

Teleportation

He can teleport, believe me. Because he sure does LOVE using that ability of his. Freely teleport everywhere like it is no one business. To the point of being second nature to him.

Light Manipulation

As you expected he uses it to darken the environment. However, he does take liberty from it, like creating disturbed reflections of others. Or manipulating colors, turning the color of a revolving green cloud to red.

Nightmare Manipulation

Whenever his victims doze off, X can enter their dream and turn it into a nightmare. He is so overpowered in the realm of the unconscious, that the victims seemingly have no control on it and have no means to fight back.

Illusion

Exe has created illusions to horrify people. With this he can create multiple flashes of himself across the screen, appearing in multiple mirrors, creating a giant floating demonic head, or creating these weird and frankly nauseating optical illusions.

Fire Manipulation

Smokey Bear biggest opp. Regardless of what continuity you’re in, it doesn’t matter. Always bet your money that he’ll turn any setting into a burning inferno. He can do more than just create it, he can dissipate it, change its temperature to make it even hotter than before, and even burn spirits.

Sound Manipulation

So apparently there exists a spell, which all the victims somehow know about. That would allow them to set themselves free and it requires them to speak. However, whenever they try it nothing comes out from their mouths. Implying that X completely negates their voices.

Blood manipulation

Because this is a creepypasta from the early 2010s, you need to have some blood. Hyper realistic blood, to be precise. Not only it’s on his cheeks, it’s fucking everywhere. River? Nah! Just a gigantic stupendous amount of blood. To the point of eventually evaporate into fucking clouds. GOD! Imagine how that place smells.

Spatial Manipulation

As an extra-dimensional being, he can use his dimensional powers to warp space itself. With the ability to control, deform, distort, and twist reality, he’s able to loop levels, created a hotel that has its own world within, and distorting a room so much that it’s been described as having “spatial or geometrical logic of this room was completely wrong”.

Avatar Creation/Life Manipulation/Power Bestowal

Aside from his own, Exe has made bodies for all of the victims he captured, based on their favorite Sonic characters. But he can do more than create vessels, as he can manipulate life itself. From draining plants from life, all the way to create critters. He later went on to use this power to create the Seven Guardians, gifting them with some of his demonic abilities.

Memory Manipulation (Inapplicable)

He has a few instances where he has erased people's memory like using “black goo” to erase Shadow.exe’s past or making Sally.exe forget what it was like to have vision in the first place. However, those feats come from very dubious material (Shadow.exe original backstory and Sammi-bishie AskAccount, respectively) making it unlikely he can perform in canon.

Biological Manipulation

One frequently overlooked ability is that he can alter all of his slaves' appearances into dark twisted and EVIL versions of the Sonic cast. While most of the time is pretty minor stuff, Exe can be petty and cruel if he really wants to, like when he lets Tails keep on alive after having his heart removed. Note though, this is back when the victims once had actual bodies before retconned into being spirits.

Shapechange/Body Control

"What's wrong? you act as if you never saw a hedgehog before!"

Because X is essentially incorporeal, he can manipulate his body whatever he likes. He can do classic things like making his eyes bleed, changing his color palette to make it darker, and open his jaws to an unnatural degree. But he can go beyond that, growing black or white wings, he can spin his neck fully around, can generate multiple of numerous long back arms to grab you, split himself in half, and can even turn his body into something similar to a shadow.

Immortality

Did you know that there are official ground rules for the Exe community? And one of those rules is that SONIC.EXE IS IMMORTAL AND CANNOT BE KILLED!!! Clearly there is absolutely no way to kill Sonic.exe, because you cannot kill something that cannot die. If you think otherwise YOU’RE BIAS! AND A HATER!! In all seriousness, he is very hard to kill because he’s quite literally built different. As a matter he doesn’t age, and can continue to live so long that there still are any of his dark matter left.

Technology Manipulation

As a very skilled programmer himself. X can effortlessly hack your entire computer. Causing things like making the disc stuck inside the computer or shutting it down entirely. He can also…

Time Manipulation

Each time he captures a soul, he always creates their very own save files. Basically much separate them at different points in time, which would explain why the victims never once meet each other. This grants X to manipulate time in almost every aspect. With the exception of speeding up or slowing down time. And no, to be clear those aren’t just character selections. As the series referred to them as save files a total of 9 times (It even refers to them as that in re-imagined). With the current number of known victims, X must have at least 32 save files in his game.

Soul Manipulation

His second most dangerous power of his is the ability to manipulate one’s essence. Started out mediocre as X was only able to steal people's souls by directly putting his arm down their throat. It quickly became more potent, able to steal them by opening his mouth. Though he can do more than just stealing them, as he has shown to absorb it within himself and even altered its very appearance. Transform it from a wispy ball of bluish light into a Sonic character. This retroactively makes him able to harm souls, from tearing it apart to engulf it in flames.

Black Hole

His most dangerous power out of all. If ever one of his slaves were to stop being “entertaining” he would open his mouth, revealing a literal black hole inside his mouth. But before you realize it, you lose your conscience all together. This is because a simple glimpse of it will put you down with a disorder called “Vegetative state”. Which basically means you're somewhat dead in a living body, leaving you vulnerable. If that wasn’t overkill enough it can literally erase you from existence. Shrinking your soul down into a singularity and erasing it forever. While he normally doesn’t like pulling this move, he will if the situation calls for it.

Mental Manipulation

Ever wonder why the protagonists have such a comical irrational exaggeration reaction to playing the game? Well, as it turns out, Exe is directly responsible for this. As he can manipulate people's emotions, not only able to corrupt them but also feed on them. He can go even further and straight up control your mind, Like when he was able to dominate the mind of a master programmer into creating his game disc. Though, it was only possible due the fact that the programmer had some form of evil in their heart, allowing Exe to mind controlling them. Now, that doesn’t mean he always uses it for cheap tactics, as he is pretty clever with it, like making opponents lose on purpose and tricking his victim’s mind into loving him.

Regeneration & Matter Manipulation

X can literally create, destroy, remake and manipulate matter. With it he has created planets, reshaped it, and even created multiple solar systems. Naturally one might assume that this would apply to his regeneration potency… But that isn’t the case. While he can create a new body fast enough before it implodes in the Void and would regenerate from decapitation. He has to use his own dark matter as a baseline to build it. Otherwise, the vessel that he built would be pretty much powerless. This isn’t speculation, as anything that is made with his dark matter like the discs and the 7 Guardians, contains some primordial energy within it. In other words, dark matter = dark superpowers.

Now, to give some credits we do know that it is far more potent than that. As I already established before, all of his slaves are spirits now. This is important as not only does it imply that his victims revert back to normal after being tortured but shown as well. And it is confirmed that he can heal people, meaning that X has the ability to regenerate spirits.

Resistances

Forms

Base Form

A body made out of dark matter, a body made to sustain his powers, a body for all in the universe to remember; Went on having multiple and I mean multiple changes over the years. At first, he was indeed just Sonic with bloody eyes. But as time went on his fur and quills became darker and less smooth and more unkept, both his skin and shoe got their life sucked out into a greyish color. Slowly training away from the rubber hose art style that the classic era was inspired by, and more anthropomorphic… furryish anatomy. Though X does like some variety, as sometimes he’ll take a different appearance, like the cartoon era.

The most fascinating thing about this form is that it's not really a body. Despite having bloods that will decay your flesh and bones away, this rotting corpse seems to be nothing but a shell. Seemingly empty, hollow, having no organs insight, except a spiralling black hole. Believe it or not, at one point his black hole was a part of his body, basically much chilling down there (which is funny to think about).

Dark Form

“Wait, something wrong”

This is Sonic.exe second form… Sorta, as this is supposedly nothing more than an illusion. However, not only is it still considered a form, but directly said to be an ethereal projection. In fiction, this refers to the ability consciously separating your subtle “etheric body” from your physical one to travel in a nonphysical, energy-based realm that closely mirrors the physical world. Depending on how you interpret this, this would prove that X does indeed have a soul. Nevertheless, X uses this advantage to intimate or even troll newcomers.

Plushie Form

“OH NOOO!”

In a similar vein to the Dark form, is a cursed doll that allows X to take control over and spy his victims in their home. Shockingly, these also come with some variants, there even one based on his true form…

Wait, what do you mean “his true form”?

“True Form”

So as it turns out, X’s based form was nothing more than a disguise for the true beast. From cosplaying as a Kingdom Heart character to being a tall shadowish figure with a red X across his chest. This is the king of darkness's ultimate form (and supposedly his true form as well). At his strongest, his very presence manifests into multiple dark pixelated aura around him that can twist, alter, and corrupt the very fabric of reality and induce everyone into deep paranoia. May pray to god if your favourite character is Amy.

Beast Form

This abomination is the supposed “definitive” version of X from the 2017 remake. Known as X Prime or Sonic.eXe, this is not only arguably his worst design but without a shadow of a doubt his worst form ever. You see in this story, the disc does such a miserable job at its only purpose, that it results in X losing a great majority of his powers. To the point where he can’t even reality warp a fucking room. Now admittedly, we don’t actually know the reason behind the massive nerf, as the story never gives one. However, it's established that X isn’t actually really there, as Tom described him as not even syncing with the space that he’s occupying. Which to me, implies that the disc doesn’t work as a portal and moreso what it was able to manifest X into our reality.

Regardless, he loses his godhood every time he enters our reality. Now, to give credit where credit is due, he is still a threat to take seriously, as he can still manipulate reality. He can teleport, transmit thoughts, move objects with his mind, and shapeshift as many shadowy hands to steal your soul.

Dark Matter

This is Exe actual real form: It is unknown how actually he came to be, originally he was an entity that supposedly created himself. But afterward it was rewritten to be accidentally being gifted life from a cosmic cataclysm by multiple forms of primordial forces. Even though he originates from the Void, he isn’t puppeteering his vessel from it, he is directly inside of it. One bizarre thing about this form is that not only is it apparently weak, but his body is actually “unstable”. Which doesn’t make sense at all, his body is the literal source of all of his powers, but he is somehow weaker without his fur-suit??? Eh, who knows, I didn’t wrote that shit.

Support

Cult of X

The Cult of X is a cult that not only worships X, but helps him to achieve his goal of entering our reality. The cult believes that Sonic.exe is a divine being, a god and that he’ll bring paradise by bringing all of humanity into his world. Their main contribution is them giving away the game disc to any oblivious players. Once X successfully steals the victim's soul, one of the members trespasses the victim's house and steals the disc from their computer. Afterwards, they proceed to either burn or destroy their computer. After erasing the evidence, they hide it for a while until it saves enough to do it again, creating a cycle.

Notable Members

The Father

Info

Is the supreme leader of the cult. And that’s about it or at least what I can find from the old canon.

You can read more about him in this wiki, but take these as a grain of salt.

He does exist in the remake, where not only he is a superhuman. But also the true mastermind behind everything. X is apparently fucking afraid of him, for what ever reasons

Shannon Goldman

Info

“It’s not your place to decide what X wants with humanity, Mr. Green. He is a divine being that wishes to make humanity happy by showing us the paradise that is HIS world, and taking us from the wretched filth of a planet we’ve been forced to live on.”

Is a representative for the cult. She manipulated vulnerable people into joining their cult, like when she tried to convince Derek into joining the cult with empty promises during his sister's funeral.

Just like the Father, she also exists in the remake. Where it explains that she was abused as a kid by her father. She hates this world and believes that X shall bring her into a paradise.

Johnny Lazarus

Info

He exists and that’s about it. He’s appeared in SHEI’s Alice’s Story and has fan art of him being featured on the official Cult of X DeviantArt group. But that’s where things end from my research.

He does have his own wiki, but not only is it sourceless, but he is such an obscure character that we don't know who his creator is.

“Cheif”

Info

Known as Richard Craven in the remake, is the chief of the police station that Derek works for. He uses his title to destroy any evidence that the cult left behind and sabotage the investigation. Such as when he demanded Green to give him over the game disc and offing him off the case entirely.

EXEs

EXEs are spirits of the victims that X has captured. They all exist in their own separate save file, waiting to be torture over, and over, and over again. Reliving this torturous cycle, that they can never escape from. X views them as nothing more than toys, that he can get off from his twisted satisfaction.

Tails.EXE

Info

Starting off with the first and famous Sonic.exe’s victim. Sadly, there is little to no information regarding our foxy victim.

Knuckles.EXE

Info

There jack shit about him either.

Eggman.EXE

Info

A middle-aged man named Paul, and the 29th victim of X. He was very afraid of the outside world and coped with it by playing his favourite game, Sonic Adventure 2.

Silver.EXE

Info

This is none other than Tom, the main protagonist of the creepypasta. Or at least that's what I've theorized. Considering in the remake Silver is Tom's favourite character. After the first story, Tom tried to kill himself by hanging himself, trying to save himself from X. But it seems like he was too slow.

He makes a second appearance in Sonic.exe 2 as a new playable character. Where his player happens to be his friend, Crystal.

Blaze.EXE

Info

Isn’t she so clumsy, my lord?

Sally.EXE

Info

Among his slaves, Sally.EXE seems to be the only one to enjoy being tortured by X. This culminated into them being in a one sided relationship, where Sally was madly in love with him. While X, himself only uses her for his own satisfaction.

But as time went on she started to have a change of heart. No more was she so casually manipulating newcomers before kidnapping them. No longer was she putting her closest mutual into a torture machine. No longer was she in love with X?

Regardless, she got a bigger role in Sonic.exe 2, where she manipulated Crystal into putting Sonic.exe on the internet. Pretty much sealing the fate of humanity.

Mighty.EXE

Info

Who the fuck has their favourite Sonic character being Mighty?

Amy.EXE

Info

Lexi Viollet used to be a member of the cult. Reason on why being now a slave to X is unknown. Despite the constant torture, she is genuinely seem to be a good person.

Bunnie.EXE

Info

She is an artist and drew this portrait of Sally.

Classic_Tails.EXE

Info

As a “watcher exe” he's been given a telescope eye, and his left arm has been replaced with a wooden pole with a bell on it, for him to alert others of approaching enemies. His heart was removed by Sally.exe because this seven years old pup was considered too nice.

Shadow.EXE

Info

So apparently this is supposed to be the real Shadow the Hedgehog, until X came in and corrupted him with black goo. Which not only severely weakened him, but also resulted in him losing his memory and his insanity. Which reduces him into being very stupid and later down the line, being a man's best friend to X.

While he is an official EXE, it is very unlikely that the rest of the character’s traits were ever canonized.

Rouge.EXE

Info

Chelsea Green alongside with his brother, Derek Green. They investigated the case of the Sonic.exe Murders together. Until one day she got her hands on the cd disk itself. And just like the many victims before her, she played the game. Can you guess what happened next?

Cole

Info

Another former member of the cult who wasn’t on board with the whole “X conquering and torturing humanity” thing. So he tried to put an end to the cult plan, which resulted in him becoming one of X’s slaves. Now stuck in X world, he somehow manages to get in contact with Dereck. Over the course of 6 months, Cole shared everything that he can to the detective before getting caught by X.

Cream.EXE

Info

Alice Wilson doesn’t have anything in canon, beside having her milk shake stolen by X. Though, she does have her own story that is written by her creator. Afaik it was never canonized, but it is still considered “official”.

After the death of his father, she met the Father. Who promised her to give her a home, in exchange of joining the cult. One day she trespassed into one of the members room, Cole.

(Unlike in the original story, Cole has never been in X world. As the cult hasn't discovered yet that he was a traitor, until the same day he was caught giving information away by X in the original story).

She discovers that he is actually a spy/mold that has been giving information to the detective, Derek. Unable to know what to do, she doesn’t tell anyone. But still decided to continue sneaking into his room. Until one day, Cole got caught and got his ass sent to the shadow realm. Later, the exact same thing happened to Derek. Alice, traumatized after witnessing their deaths. Broke down and eventually denied X in front of the entire cult. This got her a free ticket… to their basement and which they summon X to drag her ass into his world.

The Seven Guardians

As it turns out, trying to steal every single human being's souls in the world wasn’t exactly the easiest job ever. With his influence rapidly growing with no end in sight, Exe needed the step up his games. So by using his essence in a similar manner when he created his disks, Exe was able to practically create his own clones, extensions of himself. But instead of being the embodiment of evil, they’re were the literal incarnations of some of the most powerful emotions in human’s psyche.

Kito: The Guardian of Prayer (Not an emotion)

Information

Despite his appearance, he is the youngest, the weakest, and yet the most evil out of all the guardians. Thanks to his divine powers he can fly, manipulate light, and have telekinesis. If things go south he can go upright nuclear mode and summon explosions at you.

Despite primarily being yellow, his favourite color is white. And he has his own soundtrack.

Aishu: The Guardian of Sorrow

Information

The Guardian of Sorrow will make his appearance known, by condensing the clouds that are blocking the gates of Heaven to start raining down. Making sure that any who defy Exe to get sent into the abyss.

And oh, he can make GHOSSSSSTTT! OOOOoOOOOOOoooOhhhhh!

Gekido: The Guardian of Rage

Information

Despite being the living embodiment of rage, Gekido is quite a gentleman (my lady), he is actually quite well-mannered and outgoing. Although if provoked, he’ll drop his exterior and be ready to torch you alive.

Kirai: The Guardian of Hatred

Information

Kirai is so cold, so cruel, so heartless that his own heart literally freezes his body from the inside. To the point where he’s forced to wear lavish robes to combat it.

Kirai is a cryomancer and manipulator who uses his power to bend the will of others and manipulate their hatred in his favor. Hoping for one day that humanity will know nothing but his name.

Kofuku: The Guardian of Happiness

Information

Your eyes aren't deceiving you.

Despite being one of the Seven Guardians, Kofuku wants nothing more than to simply paint the entire world in nothing but blue. Believing that the color blue is the source of happiness, and wanted the world to be happy forever.

In fact, his 2 blue paintbrushes seemingly are… just ordinary paintbrushes. It is truly debatable whether or not he has any sense of idea as his role as a Guardian.

Kyofu: The Guardian of Fear

Information

This furry bogeyman is regarded as one of the more cruel and dangerous out of the sevens. As he has the ability to manifest your darkest deepest nightmare into reality. As well other powers like shape-shifting, casting illusions and hiding within shadows.

This sadistic bastard wears his own very essence, his own skin like clothing.

Yukubo: The Guardian of Desire

Information

Yukubo is unofficially the leader of the Seven Guardians, he’s not only the oldest but also the strongest among all of them.

As his power to control one's desires is severely potent. Changing one’s to his liking, create images that reflect said desires, fogging the minds of people away from the truth, or those who deny any kind of reality that is dangerous to them.

All of them will live to take advantage of their names, mentally torturing and corrupting any unsuspected players who are unfortunate enough to touch their keyboard. Causing great mayhem while maintaining control deep within the Void, whether blindly or not.

Sonic.exe perfectly fits the “big fish in a small pond” trope. Despite technically knowing how to fight, he has literally zero fighting experience to back it up. He purposely let his guard down to play with his food. Because he genuinely thinks that he’s above god, and doesn’t believe that anyone has the slightest chance at stopping him. Whenever something doesn’t play out as he wanted, he'll unironically throw a fucking tantrum. He is such a manchild that at times he gets pissed so much that he’ll knock himself out of consciousness (This is only due to the connection of his game). If he ever were to be put in a serious situation, he would freak out (Not in that way). Heavily relies on his animal instinct to protect himself.

Also his favourite food is meatball marinara and pickles… I think that alone should justify him going through a medieval style execution.

Questions & Answers

Official & Canon Materials

Despite his infamous status as a creepypasta character, Sonic.exe has a canon(s). Even throughout his very rocky history, he’s still got a continuity to this very day, striving like never before. But what about the original? Well, it is complicated, especially with just how many people were involved in the making of the pasta. Which some might be surprised about, but this is the big X we’re talking about. The guy was so fucking popular at his prime, despite his infamy. But who are these people exactly?

srlOctober23

Contributions

srlOctober23, known by her real name Shannon, is JC ex girlfriend and self-proclaimed “Exe’s mother”. She is undeniably the most influential contributor, second to JC. She was a huge Sonic.exe fan, not only was she a member of several Sonic.exe DA groups, but also being a co-founder. That’s nothing much, but that undeniable loyalty made JC declare her to be the fucking “leader” of the Sonic.exe community! To help combat misconceptions and haters alike, like creating official ground rules for the pasta and creating an official Sonic.exe DA fan group. As for the creepypasta specifically, she helped him write the 2017 remake, planned to make not only a documentary, but also create an unofficial third installment of the pasta. And finally on top of all else, she quite literally claims to share the ownership of the creepypasta. (She also once voiced as X)

SheyGrell

Contributions

SheyGrell, known by the OG community as the official voice actor of Sonic.exe… While that is true, I wasn’t able to find any solid evidence that the author canonized his voice. Nevertheless, we know for a fact that he solely carried the development of an official Sonic.exe game, called “X”. As he was the one responsible for coding, making music, making a trailer, and even voicing all of the Seven Guardians. Furthermore, he directly helped make some aspects of the pasta, to the point where he's described as owning the characters. Even as recently as this year, he loosely implies that he still owns X to a degree (he doesn’t).

Notably he is also co-founder of DeviantArt group called Sonic.exe Redemption.

SHEI

Contributions

SHEI, used to be the owner to co-owner of Sonic.exe until pretty recently. I think that alone should be sufficient enough, but I think I should give you a general idea on how she got the position that she did. Beside being “closest friends” to both JC and Shannon, she created multiple artworks and stories that was approved by the author (more on that later). She also created Alice, aka Cream.exe, whom she was supposed to voice act for the cancelled RPG game “X”.

Other notable things include…

Falsecow

Contributions

Falsecow is the artist behind the most iconic “I AM GOD” drawing that was featured in the MY5TCrimson game. She was so extremely close with the co-creators, that the author considered her one of the most loyal Sonic.exe fans ever. Titles aside, she created multiple EXEs, including the one and only Sally.exe. Which she made multiple Ask accounts based on her. She was one the few who co-founded the Sonic.exe DeviantArt group, was given permission to officially redesign Sonic.exe And finally, there was a time where she shared ownership over the creepypasta.

Other notable things include…

Sammi-Bishie

Contributions

Sammi-Bishie is an artist who made several Ask accounts for the creepypasta, including Sonic.exe, Shadow.exe whom he created, and Sally.exe (which Falsecow themselves were involved). Now admittedly, this is extremely minimal especially when you compare it to the other contributors. But I do ultimately think we could take a few of his words (even if it's a grain of salt). He directly worked with one of the co-owner and was so close with the creator that not only he made their EXE canon, but also wanted him to work in his game.

MasterGGG

Contributions

MasterGGG is undeniably the least influential when it comes to contributing to the series. Despite supposedly being the creator's friend and boss, he has made no real contribution to the creepypasta itself besides serving his role as a messenger. Now, funnily enough this user has been suspected to be a sock puppet account none other by the author himself. And… I personally wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. The guy has constantly made claims about very niche stuffs about the pasta that not a lot of people know about, like how he was the only “contributor” (beside Falscow) to be actually be aware of the lost original creepypasta, when it was fucking made (that shit quickly become lost media for 10 fucking years). And the strongest case out of all is when he made this statement, which is something that wasn't public information for years until the biography. So at the very least anything that is supported by other sources, can be taken at face value. Plus he gained their trust so much that he is a co-founder of the official Cult of X group.

Other notable things include…

Johnny-HedgeWolf

Contributions

Johnny-HedgeWolf is an interesting case, while he himself made absolute zero contribution. Not only did he run the Sonic.exe DA fan group account, he made an official wiki fandom for the creepypasta. Most importantly he made this specific Sonic.exe official stories account in collaboration with the author. Which does include the infamous biography of Exe (More on that later). So while he himself won’t be considered, the DA account and the biography will.

To summarize; over the course of 10 years, in total of seven notable individuals contributed to the original continuity. Four out of the seven of them were given permission/ownership over the creepypasta. Notable works ranging from artworks, musics, fan accounts, voice acting, video games, and stories making. While the three others may not pair in comparison to the co-owners, and their contributions greatly fluctuate with each other. They still had in hand in working/collaborated with the original creator, ranging from creating official EXEs, to creating an official wiki. Now what about so-called official material? We may now have a better understanding of this continuity and the people who work behind it. But how do we know which works of fiction are canonically a part of the creepypasta?

Is TKOTWFAT & Alice’s Story Canon?

The Alice’s Story and The King of the World, For All Time are stories made by SHEI. While these stories were created with the mythos in mind. It was never once canonized by JC nor SHEI herself. Despite being one of the current owners of Sonic.exe (lmao).

Isn’t Sally.exe Canon?

To the Crimson canon? Yes. To the OG canon? No.

It’s important to remember that Crimson X didn’t exist at the time. Exe from the first game is the same Exe from the creepypasta, unlike the sequel where the game was totally based on a fan-made sequel. Falsecow had zero involvement with the story and never gave them permission to write it. And it was never once canonized, quite the opposite as both JC and his ex-girlfriend clarify that it wasn’t canon.

Is Sonic.exe's Official Character Bio legit?

Besides the account claiming that JC wrote it, how can we trust to take their word for it? Well, an example being that the biography is featured in the canon material gallery in the biggest Sonic.exe DeviantArt fan group ever. Now, why does that exactly matter? Well it’s because not only both Shannon and Falsecow were co-founders of this group, but potentially even MY5TCrimson was too. Basically much acknowledging and confirming its canonicity. If that for some reason isn’t enough for you… Well not only it is featured in this specific interview with the author, but the official Cult of X DA group, the same one created by Shannon, is featured in it apart with the rest official works in the canon gallery (SHEI FUCKING DELETED IT)!? So by all accounts, the character biography is a legitimate piece of work.

Which Ask[Blank] Accounts Canon?

Ehhhh, I want to elaborate that any one that isn’t run by any contributor will not be a factor, like at all. Regardless of whether official Ask accounts had interacted with it or interacted with co-owners. Not only are these already dubious materials in nature, even for a creepypasta character. But these don’t have, if barely, any restrictions or moderation to them, regardless whether these users were faithful to the mythos in mind.

Now I won’t go too deep into it because… most of it is lost media and is barely archived on the internet. While they may be nice to look at as they give a glimpse into how the creepypasta was in the past, VS wise? It gives absolutely nothing, so it is pointless to argue its canonicity in that aspect. Now I do think in Falsecow's side it is valid, as they were the ones who created the characters and are the co-owner of the series. So I don’t have any real biggie with it… In Sammi case though? Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Like as I previously said, Shadow.exe should not be considered as his backstory completely contradicts the creepypasta. The Sonic.exe one is lost media despite being archived on the WayMachine (Shannon may or may not know about its existence). And then finally we have the Sally.exe one, and it is an interesting case. While trying to be faithful he does fumble a few times at it, and went on record before that this was his version of the character. However, this was before the collaboration with Flasecow, in which not only did he receive information about the character, but also completely rewrote the about page. So you guys can argue whether or not it is canon media, I don’t really care as all of these accounts (whether it be their fault or not) don’t contribute to this blog at all.

Is MY5TCrimson Canon?

So the story goes that while the pasta was gaining some traction, a certain bat, a crimson bat if you will, got a wind of it and decided to make a game based on it. Little did anyone know that this fan-game solely sealed Sonic.exe’s fate as the infamous creepypasta of all time. Which eventually got caught by the eyes of the creator, who loved it so much that it canonized to be a part of the mythos… until when he was exposed to be quite a creep, that Crimson went on to decanonized the game, severing ties with the creepypasta all together. Now you probably guessed whether I find it viable even after it being no longer canon, and you’ll be wrong. Because you see this widely universally accepted fact in the fuckery that is Exe’s history… may have been nothing more than a load of barnacles!

Despite this being a universally accepted thing in the Sonic.exe community, not only did Crimson never went on and publicly establish the game's departure from the canonicity. But there are zero documented cases where the author himself actually canonized the fan-game in the first place. Now that doesn’t mean Crimson never had any alliances with the creator’s circle. He was a co-founder of the Sonic.exe fan group alongside the co-creators, whom they had collaborated with in the past. With the previously mentioned Falsecow’s art and most notable Sheygrell voice acting as Exe in the game. And while Shannon was seemingly never involved with it, she expressed massive support and admiration and wishes to work alongside him since day 1 (There are a lot more posts that she publicly made on both DA and FB to check it yourself).

With that all said, some of them still regard the game as… well, a fan-game. Which would usually make everything here a mute point. However, I do believe it is not as simple as that. Because you see their vocabulary of it, does imply to themselves as well, like when the author refers to his own game as “fan-game” (more on that later). So it is impossible to actually determine whether it is referring to its canonicity or the creepypasta itself. To the point where I actually try to reach out to the bat himself… which got my ass left unread. Now is it worth noting that during my research that according from a third party, not only that both JC and Crimson were in contact, but JC had his ego hurt after he started implementing new contents into the game, accusing him of bastardizing his vision. But it is hard to know just how true this claim is, especially when you put this very specific statement from Crimson into consideration.

So what then, what exactly do you, the viewer, supposed to conclude from all of this? And in all honesty I am not sure for myself. While there isn’t any documentation of the game's supposed canonicity, the same implies to any that deny it. With the game having co-creators involved and potentially even the author, its canonicity remains and probably will be up in the air forever. However, for the sake of the blog, I did include Crimson X into it. It is ultimately up to you whether or not it is an official and viable content of the mythos.

Is Parallel Depths & Sonic.EXE Re-Imagined & etc. Canon?

…Alright, bare with me, cause this is gonna be a long one. Several of Exe’s co-creators wrote their very own pasta and have made statements of their canonicity to the OG mythos. Falsecow wrote OVERTHROW which they consider to be canon, Shannon wrote Re-Imagined and she also considered it to be canon as well, and then there Sheygrell. He wrote the surprisingly praised Anti-Sonic.dll (Parallel Depths) a so called sequel and spinoff to the original Sonic.exe, and have been specified to be connected to the mythos. The characters were at one point supposed to appear in Round 2 by JC. Pretty straightforward, right? However, it isn’t, because of course it couldn't be simple because otherwise it would be boring type shit. Re-Imagined has been refer as fucking fanfiction, Parallel has so many statements that completely contradict the previous claims, and OVERTHROW… it freaking clearly not set anywhere close to the actual continuity at all. Plus within the same statement that they said it was canon, that their X is different from the original and the story take place in a completely different universe. It’s outright comical how blatantly they all contradict themselves… or did they?

Because you see the key to all this relies on one particular factor, and that is context. More specifically, their vocabularies. Basically co-owners like Shannon, are using the word “canon” very loosely here, or at least using a slightly deviation definition here. The first comment responded to a comment made by a fan, where they stated that JC told them that there exist a few alternative versions of Sonic.exe. Shannon chimes in by commenting that their stories are “canon”. She likely meant that their works are considered “official”, through the author's eyes (and by extension theirs). This is supported even more, as she previously said that only JC and their closest friends that they wrote are “canon”, while talking about fan-made versions of Exe. Clearly using the word “canon” as official.

This is made pretty blatantly clear thanks to Sheygrell’s statements, or just simply reading the actual stories. Because in Parallel Depths, X is a memetic entity that both he and his realm is powered and shaped by our belief, and every single piece of fan-works exist thanks to it. Now while you may argue that Parallel is canonically connected to the main creepypasta, the actual main X is unlikely to be connected to it all, as confusing as that may sound. So to summarize my points; they use the word “canon” interchangeably with “official” to refer official contents to the creepypasta, rather than the canonicity of the main mythos.

Isn’t Sonic.exe 2 Not Canon?

(image)

For those who aren't aware. Sonic.exe 2 was the original sequel to the creepypasta, but got lost after it was moved to the trollpasta wiki. It became lost media for an entire decade before being found in 2022. However, many people have for some reason believe that the story is not canon. Or at least it is no longer canon. And I mean, why wouldn't they? Joe (The current owners of Sonic.exe), himself stated that the story isn’t canon. That seems to be a pretty open and shut case… Or is it? Because you see, Joe never actually once said that the story isn’t canon. But that he personally believes that it is unlikely to be still considered canon. Because JC seemingly forgot and moved on from it.

“Though, I'd like to clarify it's unwise to consider it canon. Considering how JC basically forgot and moved on from it”.

As you can read, this is nothing more than a mere assumption on Joe's part. And it doesn't help that his reasons for it aren't exactly the most solid thing in the world. Especially when he never elaborates on it. To further strengthen my claim, I shall debunk all the arguments against Sonic.exe 2 being canon.

Arguments against it

My response

Sonic.exe is never referred to as X in Sonic.exe 2.

X was never referred to as X in the original story either. Does that mean that Sonic.exe 1 isn’t canon then?

Sonic.exe never uses the lobotomy card or any sort of threats akin to the ones he used on Crystal, when Sonic.exe implied this was more than a regular occurrence

Honestly, I don't know why this is an argument to begin with, as it doesn’t prove anything.

Sally's role in the pasta is vastly different, where in Sonic.exe 2, Sally is presented as an accomplice to Sonic.exe, where she'll get "all kinds of pleasures" for helping him, the only Sally shown in Round 2 happens to just be a plain victim, who gets her neck snapped.

Not really, quite the opposite. While she doesn’t do much in Round 2. It heavily, and I mean heavily implies that they are in a twisted relationship with each other. Just like in the original lost story. In fact, they both smile in their character select box after being murder. They are very much the same character.

No mention of the cult of X in Sonic.exe 2

Again, the cult wasn’t mentioned either in the original story. Does that mean it isn’t canon?

Nor any reference to X being allowed to expose himself on the internet by the cult

X didn’t “expose himself to the internet”, he just has now access to the internet now. Without anybody knowing about it.

Additionally, the entire aspect of X escaping to the internet being reliant on Crystal herself, when X had access to an entire cult, as well as beings that could influence humanity

It explains that they lack the skill that the original programmer who created the disk had. So X couldn't solely rely on them.

No referencing towards Crystal in any way on either story

If that’s the case, then I guess Round 2 isn’t canon. Because any new characters that are introduced in it, aren't mentioned in either stories.

Crystal's story takes place after Tom's funeral. This would present an inconsistency by the obvious fact that if Sonic.exe 2 had indeed happened before Round 2, the world would already have been taken over by then

Not really? X being on the internet doesn’t help him to enter our world permanently. Nor doesn’t help him conquer humanity. And while he can technically snatch anyone's soul in the world, anytime he wants. To believe he can capture a couple of millions of souls without being caught or exposed within 13 days is crazy.

JC has never actually stated that Sonic.exe 2 is no longer canon or valid. How-

I think that alone speaks for itself.

To summarize my points

  • The fact that JC never decanonized in the first place

  • Joe never stated it wasn’t canon, just an assumption of his

  • The story doesn’t contradict anything

  • In fact, the story does fit in the continuity

    • Tom having dying the same way; suicide

    • Having the same Sally making an appearance

    • The story “coincidentally” taken place after Round 2 ended

Is Stockholm Syndrome - Sonic.exe x Reader canon?

NO!

..

Is Low-Multiversal Exe Valid?

It is revealed in Round 2 that once X achieves his ultimate goal, he would try to combine his realm with ours. Impressive, but is there any validity behind this? Couldn’t it just stain from his massive ego, arrogantly thinking that he’s that powerful to accomplish such a feat? Well, kinda? There is no denying that X is one big egotistical motherfucker. However, we have seen him not only manipulate space but manipulate time as well. Considering that he creates a new save file each time he captures a new victim, and with the knowledge that his powers have extended on an universal scale before. It’s not far-fetched to say that he is just that powerful.

Soulless Sonic?

Get it? Anyways a popular consensus around the Death Battle community is that X has no soul. This is solely thanks to the biography where at one point his physiology compared to a soul. This led many people and bloggers to believe that X is a soulless being… But that simply isn’t the case here. Yes, the biography does compare the dark matter to a soul but ONLY in the aspect that they’re eternal. And that’s it, it never goes beyond that nor does it suggest or indicate otherwise. Playing the devil advocate here and say that the bio meant to say that the matter functions similar, if not 1 to 1 to a soul. Would that actually make him immune to soul manipulation? I mean yeah, he technically doesn’t have a soul, but he would still have something equivalent to one, therefore sharing the same vulnerability.

The best thing you got is Sheygrell statement where he implies the possibility of it, but there are several holes to it. Not only did he already imagine X on having one, but he most likely refers to Crimson X and not OG X, especially in recent times. And while yes, they are widely accepted to be the same character, as we discussed beforehand, there is a good likelihood that Crimson X was canonized to begin with. And the final nail in the coffin is that this statement was made almost a year ago, Sheygrell does not own the character anymore. Now while I could bring up the Dark form into the equation, I really don’t have to. Because to be frank, X has just no solid direct statement supporting him being a soulless entity

Is Low Mid-Godly Regeneration Exe Valid?

Shockingly, yes. In the 2017 shitty remake X himself directly confirmed that his slaves are ghosts.

“MY Home of course! where all the souls I've collected are at. To do whatever I want with, to mold and break as many times as I desire. An eternity of playing with me awaiting every single one of you humans!”

“This is what I do: I take the soul, I mold it into an appropriate shape, and then boom! You're now an immortal resident of my lovely home! Think about it, Tom. By entering my world, you're given the opportunity to never experience death. you can spend eternity with your friends...and only I can make that happen for you."

Important context: Not only is X canonically “against” killing, but has this really abnormal view when it comes to soul. He views it as “eternal”/“alive”, which is why he never considers himself a murderer. So when he says he’ll make you “an immortal resident” and “never experience death”, he means to turn you into a ghost. Otherwise it contradicts his previous statement.

Despite this he can always undo the damage he has done to his victims, meaning he can regenerate it on that level. However, you could disregard this completely as this isn’t canon to the original creepypasta… except it is.

While they originally did have bodies, the method of becoming his slaves did change over time. This fact was written into the official biography where instead of creating a body, he shaped their soul. So this was a retcon change that all the “owners” were completely agreed upon. So yeah, even in the old canon X can harm and repair spirits.

Sonic Crossscaling?

Throughout the decade, Sonic.exe has always been consistently portrayed as equal and a threat to the blue blur and his friends. However, when solely focusing on the original continuity of the creepypasta, that isn’t the case. To be blunt, there is absolutely no good reason for scaling Exe to the Sonic cast in any shape or form. By reading this blog, you already know that the characters we see in Exe’s world are nothing more than spirits of humans that he has captured. Within the 3,679 days of the canon's existence, the victims have never shown, never performed, nor hinted to indicate that they were ever comparable to their canon counterpart (Funnily enough, the human cast of Exe have their own superhuman feat).

The best thing that you got are the various statements made by their co-creators, where they stated that Exe is able to beat characters like Scourge the Hedgehog. Now, as funny as having Sonic.exe scaling to the Archie comics is, it’s just not valid. In general, there are a lot of problems when it comes to crossscaling and this is no exception. In fact, this is worse, Exe has no involvement with it come to the Sonic IP, nor do they have real influence over the franchise. And finally out of all, is that we have absolutely no idea how strong they view the Sonic characters. Powerscaling is (sorta) subjective, even then it’s very unlikely that they view the Sonic characters as multiversal power houses.

Conclusion: Me and my homies hate Sonic Crosscaling for Exe.

Creepypasta Scaling?!!?

By MonkeyBoi

In the role-playing story, Creepypasta Adventure. JC’s friend, Matthew, alongside with his pasta self defeated the being known Zalgo. Whom was paranoid that people would try to defeat him and banned anyone from creating their own creepypasta. In a shocking turn of events, as it turns out, JC was the cause of Zalgo's paranoia, as he wanted to defeat him in the name of fucking Discord. He summoned Exe who possessed Zalgo's body and took over the creepypasta world. However, Exe found out about JC’s chat log and betrayed him (Okay I made that up, but he did betray him, based). Shortly after that, Exe gets defeated by Matthew and his pasta self and everyone gets to live happily ever after.

Now, this goes technically a lot deeper than this. As this groomer as a whole interconnected universes bull-shit going on with various of his OCs, creepypasta, and random franchises like My Little Pony. In the story, Zalgo is the unofficial ruler of the Creepypasta World, and according to a prophecy, it suggests that there were no other monsters who were able to challenge Zalgo’s might. Which does include the likes of creepypasta monsters like Slenderman, except of course, (you guessed it) Sonic.exe. While Exe didn’t actually fight nor even defeat him, The Nezperdian Hivemind of Chaos has been ridiculed by JC. Describing him as a “false god” and a “disgrace of a dark god”, which is completely opposite on Exe’s end.

However, all of this really doesn’t matter at all. Not only does it suffer from everything previously said for the Sonic scaling, but to a way more severe extent. Newsflash, these are freaking creepypasta, characters like Zalgo are most of the time completely canonless. So it is wholly, and utterly pointless to talk about. And the final nail in the coffin is that JC outright says anything revolving with roleplay isn’t canon in the first place. Even then, Exe doesn’t get anything from this, he’ll certainly not magically gonna become outerversal because of Zalgo, the best thing you gonna get from scaling is planet level. I do wanna mention that in the groomer multiverse, “the void” acts as a bridge to several other universes, which would somewhat upgrade X stats even if small. But this was made before Sonic.exe was even conceptualized, sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fuck you!

The Funny Meteorite Feat

After successfully "influencing" a programmer into making a disc for him, all that was left to do was to put a piece of his own essence into it. There was just one problem though, X existed outside of the universe and couldn't enter it because of his existence. Holy hahaImadeyoulook Sonic.exe! It seems you got yourself into a pickle, one that might not be possible for you to overcome…

And then he did…

He managed to send a piece of himself into our reality…

The very same reality that he supposedly unable to enter…

How? You may ask?

“Is dark matter. I ain’t gotta explain shit.”

I legit don’t have an answer to that, as the biography quite literally moves on and never elaborates. Regardless, it does bring up the question on how it was delivered from the nothingness that is the Void. The natural conclusion is to assume that X teleported his dark matter into Earth, and that makes sense as X has used his teleportation to teleport himself and others to different locations. Add on that he can manipulate space and time to create a portal. Then we can confidently conclude this part of this section…

If it wasn’t for four things that completely contradict our theory. As X sends out his essence toward the world, the biography describes its descent as “in a manner similar to that of a meteorite”. And when it arrived on Earth, it caused an explosion that created a giant X-shaped crater when it landed. If that wasn't damned enough, an old post that predates the biography, where SHEI is roleplaying as herself recounting an event where she witnessed a purple shooting star. That same shooting star happens to be revealed as X (More specifically a piece of his dark matter). Now, you can argue the validity of it, as it is a roleplay and the fact that this happened the same day that Sonic.exe was born. Nevertheless, this “bio fact” is supported by the official biography, where the cult of X believes that X came into the world as a “falling star”.

All of this combined paints a pretty clear picture on how exactly the “meteorite” was delivered to earth. X literally launches it to Earth all the way from the Void. Now on how fast this feat gets, it all depends on how you view the feat of travelling to different reality via sheer speed alone. I’m not gonna deep dive in the incalculable category, as this deserves its own discussion. Regardless, this feat either gets infinite or immeasurable level speed. Finite wise, we know that the timeframe must be less than 90 days, as this is the time between when he was born to his first known victim. However, if you buy SHEI bio and believe that the meteorite arrived on day 1, then the timeframe would be around 12 hours give or take.

Knuckles Fucking Up the Game

This feat directly comes from the game in the You Can’t Run level. If you move Knuckles to the left instead of the right, you’ll meet a pit at the end of it. Jump on it and it result the game basically having a fucking seizure, where it seemingly shut down completely… Only for the game to be back to normal. Now, just how impressive this is? Well, let’s examine this together, shall we?

Let’s make the assumption that Exe didn’t intervene the game crash at all. The sudden black out would be interpreted here as the entire game shutting down, in other words the crash completely destroys Exe’s dimension. This would grant him universe level of durability as Exe was able to survive the crash that nuked his universe. However, this could get way higher, as one can argue that the entire space-time continuum collapses as well (Supported by the fact that the timer vanished). Moving on to 10 seconds later after the crash happens, the game comes back to normal with Knuckles appearing in a new level. We can make a reasonable conclusion that X recreates his universe within a matter of seconds; Making him Multi-Galaxy level of powers and 139 Quadrillion times faster than light. It is worth mentioning that even if you believe that the entire timeline was eradicated, Exe recreate it would not be universal+. As it is not the same as destroying a timeline, where you would be destroying the universe at every point in time.

However, what if instead you believe that Exe did intervene and prevent the game from crashing down. Now, this goes without saying but him negated the crash that would have annihilated his universe, would make him universal. Now, this is where things get interesting as there are technically 3 ways to interpret the game glitching out.

  • Number one: If you interpret the glitch as the game slowly breaking down, then Exe would have no way to scale to it speed wise. The only thing we can take from this is him taking the time to nullify the crash, which took him more than 3 seconds or 427 Quadrillion times faster than light.

  • Number two: If you interpret the glitch as Exe preventing the game from shutting down. Most specifically before it was able to glitch the entire of the game completely, then Exe must be fast enough to cut that shit out. Basically he must be able to keep up with the crash in speed in order to do that. The time that it takes for the game to glitch out is super fast, over 12 Quintillion times faster than light.

  • Number three: If you believe that the crash was also affecting the entire space-time continuum, then it would automatically grant the game crash and therefore Exe immeasurable speed.

In conclusion, this feat heavily fluctuates between stats depending on how exactly is your interpretation. At the very bare minimum, he will be over >100 quadrillion c for recreating his universe. While in he’ll be Multi-Galaxy level in might and universal in durability. And at its very best, he’ll be immeasurable for stopping the game from crashing, while being universal+ in endurance for the collapse of his timeline.

The Void Shenanigans

During my time in the community, I've seen people throwing out the idea of X’s potentially being hyperversal. And this all thanks to the weird nature that is the Void. Now shockingly I realized that I never really took the time to properly explain the deal with the Void,  Given I was under the impression that you’ll somewhat be familiar with it. Basically it is the literal gap that is between universes/dimensions, this is a well known, documented, established thing within the Sonic.exe continuity. Now that alone would make the Void 5D in many powerscalers' eyes. As it is a consensus that universes (more specifically the Space-Time Continuum) must be in a higher spatial dimension in order to not interact with each other. Otherwise, wouldn't it be just a really big universe rather than two separate timelines? And the only way that the Void can be this gap between dimensions, it needs to be this higher dimensional structure as well. And this doesn't actually contradict the creepypasta, as X’s realm is specifically stated to be inside of the Void, which is a universe. However, personally I do not buy that logic at all, and in fact strongly against it.

Basically, I don’t believe that a higher dimensional structure is the only way to separate between universes, nor do I believe that the Space-Time Continuum has 4 spatial dimensions. Regardless, whether it be through VS Battle wiki own reasonings or the big confusion around it having 4 dimensions. Believe it or not, instead of this, there used to be a giant wall of paragraphs of me basically much deconstructing and debunking VS Battle wiki’s entire Tier 2 system. Not because I no longer stand by it, because I still very much so. It is just that the topic deserves its own discussion rather than being in here out of all places.

Now for anyone who is curious as to why, I'll try to make it as ingestible as possible. There are other real multiverse theories where entire separate Space-Time Continuums can coexist without them ever intersecting (Eternal inflation theory & the many worlds theory, respectively). Speaking of Spacetime, the reason why it is a fourth dimensional construct, is because there exist four coordinates and axis in the universe. That one of them happens to be a different type of dimension that allows us to measure physical change in our universe (Please, please, please, stop larping about dimension, I beg of you). And correct me if I’m wrong, but even if you disagree on this, not even VS Battle wiki is on your side. Tier 1 mere existence clearly supports it. Unless VS Battle are so incompetent that they didn’t take into consideration that one’s attack would need to affect the construct that encompasses Space-Times, in order to be able to reach other timelines…

Alright so beside our opposing views on powerscaling universes, is there anything else that would suggest the Void being hyperversal? There are 2 arguments that I imagine would be used as evidence for higher dimensional power Sonic.exe. So the first one comes from an interview that someone had with the author, and within it made this statement.

“As for WHAT he is, I can tell you this. He’s not Satan. He’s not God (even though he says he is.), he’s actually this extra-dimensional being that can bend reality to his will…”

Now, in a vacuum and being vs brainrotted this seems pretty straightforward confirmation, right? However, there is a problem that we’re glossing through, and is that the word “extra-dimensional” is not a real word. What do I mean by this exactly? Well, it’s like the word “sussy”, it’s technically a word but it’s not official per se. Funnily enough, I say it’s better than it because “sussy” has one clear and easy to understand definition. While yes, in fiction the word “extra-dimensional” can describe a being existing in a higher dimension. It has other definitions that can describe someone existing in an alternate dimension, or existing in a separate or higher plane of existence, or originating outside our dimension. It has been interchanged with the word “inter-dimensional”. Which usually describes beings existing in between dimensions, doesn’t that sound familiar?

So the second one is interesting; this comes from his official biography, where the Void is referred to as a “subspace”. This is one of the many names of the hyperspace, which doesn’t seem to make sense. The Void is a completely separate reality from our dimension, Exe is described as "supernatural", “non-existent”, and “extra dimensional” because of it. Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense why Exe couldn't enter our world. Unless, he didn’t refer to the dimension of time. You see, writers have often misinterpreted hyperspace in fiction as an extra spatial dimension. If that’s the case, then that would make a lot of more sense. Especially when you remember that the original/geometry definition of it is about higher dimensions beyond our own.

Now, this isn't really a debunk or more of a personal opinion that I don’t really buy it. As JC is a notorious bad writer, it is very much possible that it could contribute to him using words that he likely didn't understand. In the same interview where he described Exe as an extra-dimensional being, he later called him an fucking alien. Furthermore, his ex-girlfriend as contradicted herself by saying the Void is in fucking outer space. Now this is admittedly a bit of a stretch because, well, they’re entirely different people. But not only is her writing skills comparable to his, but coincidentally she also called Exe an alien in the past. Ultimately, I think this all depends on whether you buy this statement or not, which personally I don’t.

Powerscaling the Echoing Feat?

So in his official biography, X's very first laughter was so loud that it echoed through the Void. That’s impressive and all, but how impressive is it? Simple, the Void is a gap between dimensions so all we have to do is to calculate that. But… How exactly do you calculate something like that? Well, pretty straightforward actually. X’s dimension exists inside of the Void, and it has been referred to as a universe, thus the Void must be bigger to be able encompass X’s realm… but that’s so lame and boring, for a calcer myself, So instead, picture 2 universes that are at the end on both sides on your screen. Pretty far away, right? However these universes are not only growing but expanding as well. But they aren’t infinite and will one day cease from existence like everything else in the universe. This is our answer, the bare minimum distance between universes before they collide with each other. That would be the size of the Void. I will divide this into the most likely to the less likely ends.

The Heat Death of the Universe

The big freeze or the big chill is the most likely scenario for the fate of the universe. Where dark energy expands the universe to the point where there isn’t any galaxy left, not even a solar system. Every celestial body in the universe drifts away alone until everything ceases to exist. Now the next piece of information I’m gonna share with you, might really ruffle your feathers. Despite being called “The heat death of the universe”, the universe doesn’t actually “die” nor cease to exist. It may be an endless abyss of nothingness, but spacetime itself still exists and will continue to exist…   constantly growing…  expanding…   forever… This effectively makes the feat infinite.

Clearly X having a solid infinite strength & speed feat isn’t anyone's cup of tea (especially for this version of the character). So let's low ball it and give it a timeframe. The big chill “ends” when everything in the universe ceases to exist, including black holes. Scientists predict that black holes in the future will have a mass 100 trillion times heavier than our solar system. These supermassive black holes will evaporate in and get this, in 10 quattuortrigintillion years. That is one hundred and six ZEROS. Sparing you from the maths, this feat gets really, really, REALLY FAST & REALLY STRONG, being 10 to the one hundred eleventh power times light speed and 10 to the one hundred forty-fifth times universal. Is either th s or fucking infinite.

The Big Rip

This time the universe actually just straight up dies. Assuming dark energy will get more powerful over time, it will literally tear everything apart in existence (including spacetime itself). Ripping the universe to shred. This event would happen in 22 billion years in the future. Doing the math we can find the radius of the Void to be 11 billion light-years long. Divide it by under a minute, we get a result 5 quadrillion times the speed of light. While in strength, we get a result over one thousand supernova levels of power.

It is worth noting that I did not factor the expansion of the universe into the calculations. (Because it is way beyond my depth to calculate it) If I were able to factor it, this feat would get much much faster than this.

The Big Crunch

Sadly the less likely out of the 3, if the strength of dark energy decreases enough with time. The force of gravity would literally implode the entire universe, resulting either turning into a singularity or recreate another big bang. This would happen 100 billion years into the future. Calculations later, the Void would have a radius over 50 billion light-years long. Divide this by our timeframe, his laughter must be moving over 26 quadrillion times faster than light. While in strength, we get a result 28 times stronger than our previous end

I also did not factor the expansion of the universe into my calculations as well. However, I’m somewhat sure I don’t need to. The expansion is directly caused by dark energy, and considered in this scenario it gets weaker. It wouldn't make that much of a difference. But I could very likely be wrong. (I’m not a scientist, I’m a hyperfixation powerscaler.)

Conclusion

This safer (and boring) end would get the feat over 24 quadrillion times the speed of light and over 24 KiloFoe. While the experimental ends would most likely get infinite speed/strength because our universe is predicted to expand forever. While the less likely cases it gets are over 26 quadrillion times faster than the speed of light and over 28 KiloFoe.

Summary

“There's a piece of the human mind that responds to fear and violence, almost positively. You're shown suffering in each other, behind the safety of a TV screen that separates you from what feels like a different world. It's the means to watch everything happen around you. You may say something is tragic, but human nature is not sincere. It's the way it was since your kind was still banging rocks together, gathering around the fires they only just discovered. You all have a hunter's instinct to enjoy the death of others. The truth is that deep down, you don't actually care all that much. Not when it isn't happening to you. Some, you might say, even enjoy it. Would that be you? Are you worth the attention? If you enjoy the pain of someone's last breath, what if the person who is you? Is your instinct genuine? Or are you just another weak pathetic soul that's all talk? There won't be no more hiding. No more illusion of safety given by the boundaries of a TV or monitor. Something wicked this way comes and you will be found. I am your demise. I am the end.

I...

AM...

GOD.

And you're next.”
